Ok, so I am going to pick this up Friday after work...

The front spoiler/lip is almost in perfect shape too. Rarity. Just needs reattached at the corner. ZIP TIE FTMFW!

Needs a new PS line (assuming, guy said it leaked out as fast as he poured it in), new top, and headgaskets to return to a normal driving state.

But what it's getting is a big ole' list of fun.

Build list consist of:

Exterior:
New doors, fenders, 1/4"s, probably rockers are going to be needed.
Shave the third brake light.
Gen1 z24 hardtop spoiler

Interior: will be restored, and add some new goodies like replace the OEM speakers, and add a DVD/Navi double din screen. Rest will be redone to look like stock, or close to it.

Wheels:
Sportmax 002 Red 15X8 +0 or 16X8 +0 with a mild stretched tire.

Suspension:
Currently has new Monroes all around, but will swap them for KYB GR2s, and UAS bag kit. (sit it as low as I can on the front, rear will be as low as the swing arm will allow until a 4 link, cantilever or IRS can be fabbed)
Custom -3 Camber shims for the rear (dancar/RealCamber shims)
-1 to -2 camber on the front.

Motor:
Either fix the headgasket on the 2.8, 3.1 swap, or 3400 swap. Leaning more towards the 3.1 for ease of installation and less down time. And eventually 5spd Muncie swap.

I'm getting rid of the xB so I need something to drive, so i figured, why not roll out old school?

I am paying less tham $400 for it, renting a dolly from UHaul, and putting gas in the truck to do so. So even if I can't get it reliable, I can probably part it for close to what I'd have in it.

Be a nice daily and restore project. Please tell me you've thought about bagging it. 1st gen bagged for the win.

Anyone else wanting a 1rst gen z, there is one in Nicholasville for $500. Hard top sedan, has cowl hood, black, needs headgasket.

I just didn't want to tow it all the way from Lexington to Northern Ky with this weather. Only reason i've decided to go with the drop top.

I do want to pick up another 1rst gen later on and build a US Boso styled car. :D

Image

Maybe a little less aggressive, but same principal. Seems like it'd be a good car to do that with. My friend James is in process of building a xb Boso.

Image

He's added a nose piece, and has a few random "wings" for it that aren't on. But that's the most current pic I can find of it right now. hehe. It's typically hatted on, but its all legit jdm/vip/bosozoku styled. He spends a lot of time on yahoo auctions japan. lol

I say junk it and keep the xb.

We all knew you would be back in a 2nd gen eventually though.
